Kansai-style Okinomiyaki. Kansai style okonomiyaki, which can be called Osaka style okonomiyaki, is a traditional Japanese food in which its ingredients follow the “mixed roasting” method. This method of baking or roasting mixes ingredients and dough made of wheat flour. Locals make Kansai-style okonomiyaki by mixing all the ingredients with flour and then baking it.

Okonomiyaki comes from combining two Japanese words “okonomi” and “yaki”, meaning “as you like it, grilled.” As implied, this versatile recipe makes a perfect tabletop cooking recipe – you can almost do no wrong! Kansai-style, the most common version, mixes ingredients into the batter before grilling. Okonomiyaki is a Japanese pancake with cabbage. Kansai-style Okinomiyaki instructions

Put one serving per person in a bowl each. It may seem like tedious work, but it's super simple! There may be more than enough batter. Slowly beat in the okonomiyaki mix until it is well incorporated with the nagaimo/egg mixture. Mix the cabbage, kimchee, green onions and pickled ginger into the okonomiyaki batter.
